About
A Chartered Accountant who builds the systems
Not a common combination, and it’s the whole reason this works. I know the process because I’ve run it, and I can build the fix myself.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant through KPMG and moved into industry, where I now run finance transformation at T&G Global across the apple business — post-harvest, growing, planning and quality, plus international markets and group reporting. The work is automation, modelling and AI agents, and in every case I’ve defined the problem and delivered the solution rather than being handed a roadmap to execute.
Outside that I build software properly — production systems, not prototypes. Which means I care about the parts nobody demos: auth boundaries, migrations that don’t lose data, audit trails, and what a system looks like on day 400 when the person who built it isn’t in the room.

How I work
With your team, not around it
I build alongside your IT and data people so what gets delivered fits your systems, standards and security — rather than being something nobody can maintain once I’ve gone.
Scope agreed before it starts
You know what you’re getting and when. If something changes we talk about it while there’s still time to do something, not once the work is done.
Honest about the answer
Sometimes the problem isn’t worth solving, or it’s a process issue rather than a technology one. I’d rather tell you that than sell you a build.
What I optimise for is the distance between data and decision
Most businesses have the numbers. What they don’t have is the numbers arriving fast enough, and clear enough, to change what they do that week. Shorten that gap and the same business makes better calls — with the same people and the same data it already had.
